Een deel van deze site bestaat voornamelijk omdat ik jullie graag op de hoogte hou van wat er in ons leven gebeurt. Wat het nu betekent om een assistentiehond te hebben, zowel in positieve als negatieve zin. Mijn eerste doel was om te gaan bloggen, maar ik heb al snel moeten toegeven dat ik dat fysiek niet kon volhouden. Wat ik wel echter heel goed kan is foto’s met korte verhaaltjes plaatsen! THIS SHIT BE TIRESOME
I mean imagine having any less fucks to give? Impossible.
We conquered the organ concert and 2000+ people giving standing ovations.
But now we had to conquer dozens of these reckless rockets jumping around for this children’s show. So hooman thought this would be a different hill to climb (the further the show got on, the more intense the interaction became). But no alas for the hooman. I teleported to the top of the so called imaginary hill and took a nap there. Smack bang in the middle of it all 🤣

Yeah sometimes I get annoyed. Busy places and for some reason there’s still a group of people that think you should ‘play nice’. Well I shouldn’t. You wouldn’t just turn a knob on a oxygen tank, so why would you feel the need to touch my medical assistance?
So sometimes we try new things, and sometimes things that start off as a joke happen for real and stay.
So we now have a new add-on on our harness….. and it’s staying.

Literally… I faithfully tried to keep her hair longer this winter, like… 2cm in stead of 2mm - because it was COLD.
It was also NOT appreciated, she was itchy, annoyed, scratchy and torpedoed her ass in the vicinity of your hands for scratching every chance she got.
So sure, time to hit the 2mm again.
Ugly… but happy. And we prefer happy over a pretty long coat every day. At least I can now look at Evi again who still has her coat and is warm enough to not wear a f*cking sweater 🤣

OFFICIALLY THE MOST AWESOMEST WORK VEST IN THE WORLD 🌍
Because it’s now signed by Anna Lapwood. And it’s not just the signature or meeting someone you’re a fan of.
It’s also a testament to the fact that Evi sat through a organ concert like she does that every day. Listening to the music (yes there’s videos she’s actually listening, ears up, head tilted) and sleeping trough the calm parts. Signalling me when my heart rate went hoohaa - ánd doing it by being annoying because I missed the first few cues being distracted by listening.
There were over 2000 people in the hall, the organ was full on and the music was loud. Now most dogs would hate it, some dogs would be there in ‘trained tolerance’ - meaning they can tolerate it because it’s their job and they tolerate it because they must, mostly with ear protection etc. And then there are that few in thousands that literally are #yolo. Evi is one of those; because being honest, I’d never be able to do this with Faye or even Zoë, their predecessor. She doesn’t care, the Snuggie with ear caps was molested before we even got to the concert so she had to do without.
She ended up sleeping trough pirates of the Caribbean.
So the autograph is a gentle reminder each time she puts up her work vest of he loyalty she has and the zero fucks she has to give - and I love that

The whole country is fighting about those wolves, but I just sighted a tiger in the Doetinchemse jungle.

Had surgery last week, it sucked. But no matter what there’s always a Faye sneaking up on you making sure you get to chill even though the pain is fucking you over ❤️🩹

VITAMIN FAYE - EVI NOT FAR AWAY
Just had (minor & planned) surgery. And even though minor, it still turned out to be a bit bigger than planned. Shit hurts, my jaw luxated during intubation and Evi sadly wasn’t there because of circumstances.
Safe to day I will never ever ever ever do that again. SO is on his way home so I’m not alone tonight and I’m lying in my chair with a heated blanket and a Faye that is not willing to leave my side 🫣
Let’s hope tomorrow looks a bit brighter.

Hooman spotted a badger trail (before we stomped all over it). And seeing as it was snowing it was pretty fresh. We didn’t spot Mr. Badger himself but had a nice walk in the forest slowly turning back into winter wonderland.
